Sacrament of Marriage
Congratulations on your decision to commit yourselves to one another in the Sacrament of Marriage at Saint Margaret Parish. May the Lord bless and sustain your love for one another as you share that love with His Church, your family and your friends.
Whether you are aware of it or not, when you come to a parish to prepare for your wedding, you are asking the entire parish community to bear witness to your love. Everyone in the parish community shares the responsibility of proclaiming and celebrating your love for one another. In a sense, you are surrounded by love as your begin your married life together, the love not just of parents and friends, but also of the Church. Obviously, then, this is a very special day for you. . .and the whole Church!
Arrangements should be made at least six months in advance. Please call the parish office to make an appointment with one of the priests or deacons to officiate at your wedding.
The Sponsor Couple Program
Fully trained sponsor couples assist engaged couples in discovering those areas of strength and uniqueness in their relationship upon which they can build a lasting, loving marriage. The engaged couple meets in the home of their sponsor couple approximately four times. Please contact Michelle Sullivan in the parish office, 410-879-2670, with any questions about this program.

" 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate."
